Marks Introduction covers the following interactive topics and combines his challenging experiences with the challenges we all face everyday
As a 23 year old search and rescue mountaineer, Mark was trapped in an ice cave for 14 days and lost both legs to frostbite. Many would think that this would be the end of so many dreams and ambitions. However, for Mark, this was just another challenge to face culminating in tackling an incredible goal, Mt Everest. In his introduction Mark describes how, with passion and attitude, the impossible becomes possible in both the tough world of the mountains and the boardrooms.
"Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far they can go"
To Reach the Top?
Resilience, Persistence, the Synergy of a team and the Focus of one!
Challenge comes in many different forms but the approach to challenge should always be the same, that is with courage, attitude and careful analysis, failure of anyone of these elements means failure, on a mountain often death. Define these elements, combine them with the principles of great team management and success is the result!
Mark's team-building and decision-making programme uses mountaineering and its critical decision-making scenarios as a core theme. It is an interactive simulation, involving problem solving as individuals, as members of a group and even between groups.
Integral to the event are team building 'lessons' imparted by Mark as hints and comments as the game progresses. These are done by way of group questions
